This man is more than just a singer; he plays the piano, writes his own music, and even produces it. A true multi-talent. Unfortunately, he left us too soon. I also love his collaborations with Roberta Flack.
Otis Redding – The Soul Album
As the title suggests, this is the soul album of Mr. Soul himself. Otis must not be missing from this list

Songs In The Key of Life is a truly fantastic album by Stevie Wonder, released in 1976. I cannot emphasize enough how much I love this. It’s simply brilliant. One of my favourite songs in this album is As. It’s such a beautiful song that really touches you. Stevie wonder’s voice is simply mesmerizing and the entire arrangement of the sing is amazing.
O. V Wright – The Bottom Line
I really like OV Wright’s music he’s one of the few singers who kept the spirit of Hi Records alive in the late 70s! In the past, Wright sometimes had a bluesier sound, but his later 70s recordings at Hi Records have a smoother, more mature feel. It’s like his earlier work at Backbeat label has grown and improved, especially with the help of Willie Mitchell at Hi. Mitchell’s musical arrangements are a bit like what he did with Al Green, but OV’s singing style is unique not as explicitly sexy, but very personal and heartfelt.
